Chair Update April 2019

Strategy Board Workshop 17th April

The stunning Loch Melfort Hotel was the venue for our strategy board workshop on Tuesday 17th April.  The day started early for most to arrive in time for a 10.30am start amidst the most glorious of settings, albeit we were tucked into the Library to get some work done!

Cathy Craig, one of our co-opted directors set out a range of workshops designed to challenge the boards thinking around what it is AITC does, for who and why and what it is we would continue to strive to deliver. As is always the case with such a talented and diverse group, discussions were energetic and challenging.

Energetic and challenging discussions

Capability, reach and influence

One thing that certainly came out was the huge successes we have had to date and indeed the considerable capability, reach and influence around the table. As to the outcomes we are still working those through, reflecting on success and achievement and looking to what that may look like in the future in terms of what tourism needs to continue to flourish.

Thanks to all the volunteer directors for taking time out of their busy lives to give their time and to Calum and Rachel Ross and the team at Loch Melfort Hotel for looking after us so well and for organising the sunshine.
