Hidden away on the eastern shores of the Kyles of Bute, the unspoilt village of Colintraive offers a real opportunity to get away from it all.
The beautifully maintained community garden offers a perfect spot for a picnic or a game of bowls on the green, whilst the Heritage Centre and 19th century church offer a glimpse into the history of this charming settlement.
There are some great moorings here, to spend the night in sheltered waters, surrounded by spectacular scenery. If you prefer to admire the water from dry land, why not enjoy a drink or meal at the Colintraive Hotel, whilst you watch fishing vessels and pleasure craft out on the Kyles?
Alternatively, use your stay in Colintraive to visit our neighbours over on the Isle of Bute by taking advantage of Caledonian MacBrayne’s regular ferry service from Colintraive to Rhubodach; one of the shortest crossings in Scotland.
