Tighnabruaich & Kames

Situated right on the Kyles of Bute, Tighnabruaich and Kames, with their palm trees and grand villas, ooze Victorian charm.

Explore the Main Street with its variety of shops, and take the opportunity to discover your new favourite artist in the Tighnabruaich Gallery.

In the summer months, watch as the PS Waverley glides gracefully through the Kyles, headed for the Victorian pier.

If you’re feeling active, why not take a walk beyond the boat yard, through West Glen and on to Glen Caladh, where you can take in beautiful views across Caladh Harbour, to Eilean Dubh and Bute, take a detour into the woods, to discover a hidden lily pond, then continue along the Loch Lomond & Cowal Way, to reach the tea plantation at Glen Caladh Farm.

When it’s time to eat, the Royal an Lochan, Kames Hotel and Tide & Thyme all offer excellent food, and great views.
