With a population of around 220, Coll is a place to really get away from it all. The white-washed cottages of Arinagour greet you as you arrive. Walk on the windswept beaches, marvel at the wildlife and enjoy a dram or two in the friendly Coll Hotel. Wild-life lovers will have a field day on Coll.
The island’s beaches, meadows, moors and machair provide a home for a wealth of flora and fauna, and twitchers are in for a real treat. Much of western Coll in an RSPB reserve, and a vast variety of birds can be spotted. With no street lights and its geographic isolation, Coll is a great place for star gazing.
