Carradale Bikes & Buggies
Carradale is a small village situated on the east coast of the Kintyre peninsula overlooking the Kilbrannan Sound and Arran. Carradale was once a busy fishing village and a popular holiday destination served by the Clyde steamers, however, today it is more popular with visitors looking for an outdoor experience which includes forest trekking, wildlife spotting and mountain biking.
Carradale Bikes and Buggies is situated at the Network Centre, owned by Network Carradale, a community business and registered charity. The Centre also includes a Tearoom now trading as Network Bistro, a Heritage Museum and (soon) a Tourist Information Office.
Inclusion for everyone regardless of ability is a key focus at Carradale Bikes and Buggies which has resulted in the purchase of electric off-road mobility scooters to enable the disabled and elderly access to our forest trails.
Starting from the Network Centre there are many kilometres of forest trails to explore, one of which will take you from the east coast to the west coast of Kintyre almost entirely on forestry roads and tracks. The scenery is spectacular, beautiful beaches and an abundance of wildlife including seals, basking sharks, dolphins, otters and golden eagles.
Our bikes and buggies are available all year. If the workshop is not open then just give us a call on 01583 431296.
