Mull and Iona were made for summer holidays! Both islands have beautiful beaches by the bucket (and spade!) load. St Columba’s Bay at the south end of Iona is a glorious spot, where you’ll find richly coloured pebbles. Mull’s coastline is dotted with sandy bays lapped by turquoise water and backed by forest.
What’s more, Mull’s beaches are crowd-free, even at the height of summer. There are lots of fabulous visitor attractions too, from ruined castles to ancient sites. Take a boat trip to see the wonderful local wildlife, climb a Munro, go to an event and follow the Mull and Iona Food Trail.
