Beinn Lora Forest Walks and Viewpoint
It’s well worth the climb through the woods at the foot of Beinn Lora for a stunning panorama of coast, islands and mountains. Picnic tables at vantage points give you a chance to catch your breath and take in the scenery, and the Eagle’s Eyrie viewpoint is an ideal photo opportunity.
There are two way-marked forest trails, Coastal Climb (1.4 miles) and Eagle's Eyrie (3.1 miles). They're also popular with local hill runners looking for a strenuous workout. These trails provide access to the hill path to the steep grassy summit of Beinn Lora. Rising from the shores of Ardmucknish Bay, Beinn Lora is by no means a big hill, but it's a strenuous climb. Your hard work will be rewarded with utterly breath-taking views down Loch Etive to Ben Cruachan.
The route is not signposted, and is only suitable for experienced hillwalkers.
