Frazer, Tiree Sea Tours

Lockdown has really given us the chance to look at the long-term picture and how we can begin venturing into new territories, especially with the foreign visitors. Coll Hotel

We offered our customers a takeaway service three days a week and tried to continue using as many local suppliers as possible to keep everyone ticking round. The extension we built pre-lockdown has also really helped for giving customers and safe alike a safe distance.

Georgest Chippy

John, The George Street Fish Shop

Cara, Wilder Ways

Offering flexibility to make sure we can accommodate everyone. We’ve been working hard to make sure people can still enjoy their holidays and put their minds as ease. It’s also been a good time for doing things we wouldn’t normally do and sit back and really appreciate the small things

Sugarboat Exterior

Will Smith, Sugarboat Restaurant

All the team were furloughed apart from myself and I turned the business into a delivery only unit delivering to thirsty locals and regulars. This grew into the supply of coffee beans, artisan chocolate bars, sacks of flour and cheeses – it was quite a logistical challenge and it turns out I am not the most efficient delivery boy!

Glenarn Gardens Sue Thornley

Sue, Glenarn Gardens

We’ve been doing a lot of garden maintenance in the beautiful weather and I’ve noticed a lot more wildlife and birds over this time. It’s strange not having visitors through our peak season but it’s allowed us to focus on our vegetable garden and lots of other things.
