Temperance House is in Port Charlotte, a beautiful conservation village of white-washed terraces and cottages by the shores of Lochindaal and takes its name from the Temperance Hotel which was located in the building last century.
The main self catering apartment on the upper floors enjoys stunning views over the beach to the lighthouse and across Lochindaal and the Isle of Islay to the Paps of Jura.
There is a fitted kitchen with 2-oven electric Aga, a separate 2 ring hob and combination microwave/oven, fridge freezer and dishwasher. There is a table seating 6 – 8 comfortably, plus a corner seating area with wall mounted 37” HD TV and iPod dock.
There is a separate utility cupboard in the hallway housing a washing machine and dryer. This floor also has 2 shower /cloakrooms. To the rear of the apartment is a large sitting room with wood burning stove, another 37” HD TV, DVD player and 2 sofas. There are French windows giving access to a patio area and sloping rear garden. The patio is equipped with a barbecue, table and chairs.
A wooden staircase leads to the second floor, and another spacious light-filled hallway. There are 2 bedrooms to the front; one double and one twin. At the rear of the building is a 3rd bedroom with double bed and French windows onto a small balcony overlooking the garden. All of the bedrooms have hanging space, drawer space plus under-eaves space which is useful for storing luggage. Additionally, there is a family bathroom with an over-bath shower on this floor.
