Argyll’s Secret Coast is packed with great places to eat and drink and many of them are putting on special Mothers’ Day events.

Join the folks at Botanica at The Barn for a Big Sunday Roast on Mothers’ Day. Feast on local produce, including lamb from Scalpsie Farm on Bute and Galloway beef. Botanica is also open for brunch and serves up locally roasted coffee from Argyll Coffee Roasters and delicious baking.

Another great option for lunch is Portavadie. Enjoy a special Mother's Day lunch, over looking the marina, between 12pm - 3pm in the Marina Restaurant and Bar. At £15.95 for two courses and £18.95 for three, it's not only a delicious way of celebrating the day but it's great value too. Portavadie’s Spa Experience is another option Mothers' Day pampering. The spa area is simply stunning and there’s a huge range of treatments and therapies on offer.

The Royal An Lochan will be serving up Mothers’ Day High Tea from 1pm to 4pm, with a choice of cakes and savouries. The views over the Kyles are stunning. Or how about heading over to The Oystercatcher at Otter Ferry for High Tea? It’s being served from 3 to 5pm. Located right on the beach, The Oystercatcher is a wonderful spot to linger. Take a walk along Otter Bay to work up an appetite.

Discover local art, pottery or jewellery in the art and craft shops on Argyll's Secret Coast, as well as delicious local food and produce. Pop into Tighnabruaich Gallery for a fabulous selection of art, sculpture and crafts. At the Dairy Gallery at Carry Farm you’ll find beautiful ceramics and textiles. The Shop at Portavadie is another place to pick up gifts, while Kames Village Store has a fantastic selection of local produce, wine and chocolates. There’s a small shop at Botanica at the Barn where you can pick up local produce too.
