Small but perfectly formed campsite close to the ferry slip that welcomes motorhomes, campervans and tents
On arrival, you can expect a warm welcome from the friendly staff who will show you the ropes and provide useful local knowledge to ensure you make the most of your time on Gigha. Campervans and motorhomes will find no need to move once pitched up as the island is the perfect size to explore at leisure by foot or bike, making use of the extensive path network guiding you to all of the best sites on the island. And the campsite is located so close to the ferry slip, campers need not bring a car over at all.
The camping area has a wilderness feel about it with 17 vehicle-free, small to medium size tent pitches separated by bracken, long grass and wild flowers. The campervan and motorhome area provides 10 level pitches with hardstanding bays and grass to one side, all including free electric hook-up.
Developed and run by the Isle of Gigha Heritage Trust, the well kept facilities building offers showers, toilets, hairdryers, a washing up area, seating area and accessible facilities. Chemical waste disposal, grey water disposal and water top up are available for servicing campervans. The Campers Hut provides a few little extras to give you a bit more comfort including a kettle, toaster, microwave, fridges and freezer and plug points for charging phones and battery packs. In reception you can find visitor information, including ideas of things to do, walking maps and upcoming events, borrow forgotten equipment and games and purchase camping essentials and souvenirs. An electric vehicle charging point is available onsite on a pay as you go basis.
