Spacious, well-equipped, eco-home with open fire on sea-loch near lively village
A traditional highland croft house that has been expanded into a comfortable and spacious eco-home, with air-source heat-pump, solar thermal panels and underfloor heating in public spaces and 2 of the 4 bedrooms. At the top of a steep track, away from traffic, the house commands stunning views. From the stone-slabbed terrace, the cosy sunroom or the glazed link with dining table, you can enjoy watching the birds, the boats and the ever-changing sky.
We have not compromised on fitting the most up-to-date equipment, including extra fridge storage, an induction cooker, eco-friendly laundry equipment, and a wood-burning stove. Ardfern is a vibrant village with a strong artistic and craft community. It has a good village shop, a pub and restaurant, and a café-come-craft shop. The award-winning museum in nearby Kilmartin explains how important and well-populated this area once was. There are plenty of walks that can be taken from the house itself, throughout the Craignish Peninsula and beyond. There is also excellent child-friendly cycling within the Peninsula.
