St Blanes House

Ideal for large family gatherings and celebrations

Ideal for large family gatherings and celebrations, this spacious, detached party house on the Isle of Bute was previously a hotel and occupies a prime position on the water’s edge, with spectacular views of the sea and the surrounding islands, showing the west of Scotland at its very best. If you can drag yourself away from the mesmerising views from the windows of St Blanes House, then there is plenty to do on the Isle of Bute. The island has been named as one of National Geographic's’ Top 10’ global adventure trips. There are many breathtaking scenic walks: the West Island Way Walk starts in the same village, and the Kelscope Trail meanders behind the house over heather-covered hills, taking in glorious sea views.
There are three golf courses on the island, cycle tracks, horse riding, kayaking and lots of wildlife to see. For those interested in fishing, the inland lochs are popular with anglers for coarse and game fishing. Loch Fad offers anglers an opportunity to fish for rainbow trout, while those with a passion for sea angling are spoilt for choice.
