Situated on the shores of Loch Fyne in Argyll, against a spectacular background of mountain and forest, Ardkinglas Estate covers about 4800 hectares.

Ardkinglas Woodland Garden is an arboretum with champion trees and a renowned collection of rhododendrons and azaleas. It is particularly suitable for visiting in May and June when it is in full flower, but it is worth a visit at any time of year.

With dramatic views over Loch Fyne, the garden is on several levels and features various terrains to suit a range of abilities and preferences. It is partially wheelchair—and pram-friendly but steep in places.

The Gruffalo & Fairy Trail is a must-visit for all. Come and have a go of our fun Snakey Slide in the woodland garden.

Open all year round, dawn to dusk. Entrance fees apply at all times. All admission goes directly to maintaining and caring for this wonderful woodland, featuring a collection of trees and plants, which Ardkinglas Estate manages for the benefit of our visitors and community.

Admission: £5 per adult, £2.50 per child (4-16 years old), and under 3s are free.

All money placed into the wishing well by the Fairy Trail goes to a different local charity every 3 months.

Season tickets are available for an annual cost of £25 individual and £55 for a family, and they allow unlimited visits to the Woodland Garden throughout the year.
