Sailing, walking and wildlife adventure holidays on board a classic sailing ship across Argyll & the Isles.

A holiday on Provident will introduce you to the fabulous west coast of Scotland, exploring the islands, coasts, harbours and hills of Argyll and the southwest highlands. We will mix sailing with walks ashore, visiting the sea birds, watching out for dolphins and whales or just relaxing on Provident\'s big wide decks or in her comfortable deck house. Sometimes we will aim for remote anchorages and bays other times we will head for a port where we can go ashore and chat with the islanders. Food is a big part of our voyages. We aim to buy local where we can, and we know many local fisherman and other producers so we can always be sure of something tasty for our evening meal. And did we mention sailing? Provident is a fantastic boat to sail; she is heavy and stable and with the right combination of sails we can get her moving in all weathers. Steve, the skipper, will always be reluctant to put on the engine and we will decide on a day by day where we will go next. Luckily on the west coast of Scotland there is always somewhere spectacular to go. Below decks Provident has four twin cabins. These are small but cosy. There is central heating, two toilets and a shower. The crew will sail the boat but we love everyone to get involved if the want to. No experience necessary just a willingness to enjoy yourselves!
