Wild Hebridean Swimming

Wild swimming retreats in the Inner Hebrides

Micro adventures with an emphasis on slow swimming travel, providing a deep connection to nature, wellbeing and the local community

Emma brings together a community of people from all over the world united by a common love of swimming. A qualified and experienced coach, she welcomes all abilities from beginners to experienced swimmers, providing guidance that builds confidence and encourages everyone to explore their potential while making unforgettable memories.

Guests have a range of retreats to choose from, depending on whether they are a cold-water enthusiast who enjoys short immersions, a leisure swimmer keen to build confidence in outdoor swimming, a competent sea swimmer looking to challenge themselves, or anything in between! The retreats are not just about distance and speed, although that can be accommodated; they are more about immersing oneself in the local landscape and getting to know the local communities.

One of Emma’s passions is languages, specifically Gaelic and its importance in the history of the Inner Hebrides. Through storytelling and songs, guests learn about the traditions and influences that have shaped the islands, and leave with a greater understanding and appreciation of island life both past and present.
