Learn about how the nature biodiversity on our farm is helped by our Highland cattle.
We welcome visitors to our farm to enjoy the peace and seclusion, and to take part in a variety of opportunities throughout the year. If you visit us you will learn about our regenerative farming practices and our agricultural heritage and culture. We will share our passion for restoring natural habitats and introduce you to our native Highland cattle and demonstrate how they help us with conservation on our farm.
Achinreir Farm sits above the southern shore of Loch Creran at the foot of Glen Salach on the outskirts of the village of Barcaldine in North Lorn right at the very north border of Argyll. The farm is a mixture of pasture, woodland and scrub creating spectacular landscape and providing natural fodder for our cattle.
This junction of ancient well-worn paths which led clansmen, merchants, mourners, kinsfolk, and crofters between the settlements along this coastline, gives the farm a feeling of ancient strategic positioning.
Our Farm Experiences are designed to provide visitors with an unforgettable time of discovery.
