John Muir Way
The John Muir Way, which opened in 2014, is a fabulous long-distance route running through central Scotland and linking Helensburgh in Argyll in the west to Dunbar in the east. This 134-mile coast-to-coast trail passes through some of the very best scenery that central Scotland has to offer, including the Lomond and Trossachs National Park, as well as linking some many historic attractions and places of interest. The John Muir Way is designed to be easily accessible and close to public transport links. It's great for walking, cycling and horse-riding. It'll take you 7-10 days to walk and about half that by bike.
