Spend a fun day out at Beinn an Tuirc Distillery in Kintyre

Spend an afternoon at gin school! You’ll learn so much about gin production and our own methods here at Beinn an Tuirc Distillers, before tasting and blending to create your very own bespoke spirit. We have a huge range of pure botanical distillates to pick from - douglas fir, gorse, raspberry and even pineapple, to name a few. You’ll take away two 20cl bottles and we keep your recipe on file so you’ll be able to reorder. What better gift for someone special than your own gin! You can be as creative as you like and name your gin whatever you want to. Gin school includes a tour of our distillery where you’ll meet ‘Big Don’, our copper pot still that is powered from our very own hydro electric scheme just a few feet away. You’ll taste your gin as a G&T, choosing from a range of tonics and garnishes and to finish the day you can mix it in a cocktail. It’s a brilliant day out for friends and family or couples. We can accommodate private groups up to eight. We also do regular gin tours at the distillery. These last around an hour and include a perfect serve of Kintyre Gin and tastings of some of our other products. You’ll also be shown around the distillery where all the magic happens and learn about our unique family story which includes the history of Torrisdale Castle. We encourage guests to explore the grounds before or after the tour and you can enjoy a light lunch or a hot drink in our on-site cafe.
