Clan Lamont Gathering

The annual Clan Lamont Society Gathering is an opportunity for those descended from this ancient clan through the name of Lamont or any of its associated septs to meet together in kinship but it is open to anyone interested in exploring Scottish history and celebrating Scottish culture to join in. The Gathering is a three and a half day event which includes visits to places of historic interest; music, song and dance at an informal ceilidh and a formal Dinner & Ceilidh to celebrate the Society’s 130th anniversary; a reflection on times past with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Lamont Memorial in Dunoon followed by a service of remembrance in the atmospheric ruins of Toward Castle, an ancient Lamont stronghold; and a closing lunch and relaxing social afternoon. The detailed programme and booking information are on our website. You can book the whole programme, the weekend events or the formal Dinner & Ceilidh on its own."
