Join Dunoon’s first ever Rhubarb Festival on Saturday 26 July, hosted by Dunoon Goes POP in their Drinks Garden on Hillfoot Street. Rhubarb enthusiasts and newbies, our rhubarb festival is for anyone who loves growing, cooking with or tasting rhubarb! Our free festival will include: - Rhubarb produce competitions. There will be best in show prizes awarded for the biggest stalk of rhubarb and the best chutney, jam, puddings and drinks. - Rhubarb games, including Splat the Slug and Plant the Rhubarb! - Dunoon Goes POP rhubarb soft drinks tastings and bottle shop. - Special showing of rhubarb films - Cooking with rhubarb demonstration with local Coorie Cooks - How to grow healthy rhubarb with Dunoon Goes POP gardener - How to make rhubarb pop with Dunoon Goes POP mixologist. - A chance to explore our Drinks Garden, filled with flavoursome plants which are used to make drinks.
