From Argyll to Iveragh: An evening with Clár Ní Argáin

This special performance marks the finale of Clár Ní Argáin’s Artist in Residence – Ceanglan Chaluim Chille, an exploration of the cultural ties between Ireland and Scotland, inspired by the legacy of Colmcille. On the night, Clár will share songs from Gaeltacht areas of Ireland before highlighting the melodies and stories of her home place, Uíbh Ráthach in South Kerry. The evening will also feature songs learned through cultural exchange with CHARTS’ Gaelic Culture Officer, connecting Ireland with Argyll. Participants who have worked with Clár throughout the residency will join in to perform pieces from both traditions. Ceanglan Chaluim Chille, a Gaelic development programme by CHARTS, supporting creative exchange through the arts. All levels welcome. Fluency in Gaelic is not necessary. Light refreshments will be provided. This event will be seated and is wheelchair accessible.
