Susannah Stark & Band

Tayvallich Village Hall is pleased to welcome Susannah Stark for a special evening of music. Known for her warm, expressive singing and her ability to create a gentle, dreamlike atmosphere, Stark brings together clear vocals, simple melodic lines, and soft electronic textures to produce music that is both contemporary and deeply rooted in tradition. Joining forces with trumpet player Phil Cardwell and accordionist Caroline Hussey they created Mion-phuingean - Minor Gestures, for Glasgows Night School Records, that is an extended folk session in locations around the Govan stones, river Clyde & underground waters, and features new Gaelic songwriting. Stark has performed across the UK and Europe, earning recognition for her distinctive approach to voice and atmosphere. Her work appeals to audiences who appreciate strong singing, thoughtful arrangements, and music that carries a sense of place. She has been featured in Mojos Best of Year chart and nominated for a Scottish Alternative Music Award. Catch her in this intimate venue before she plays at The End of the Road Festival later in the year. After Susannahs performance, the evening will continue with rhythmic, hypnotic and psychedelic sounds from ExStatic Sound.
