Mapping Arcadia: Chimu Peru Alastair Noble
Originally presented at the Cultural Centre Puno Peru this exciting exhibition will include a series of unique monotype prints made from wildflowers and plants gathered from the hillside of Chimu just south of Puno on the coast of Lake Titicaca. The title of the prints displays the names of the plants in their local nomenclature in the two indigenous languages of the area Aymara and Quechuan. In addition, framed photographs will demonstrate the printing method and images of the natural vegetation used in the process.
