Nestled in the heart of Bute Forest in peaceful birch woods on the Isle of Bute, the Charcoal Huts are beautifully designed to blend naturally into their surroundings. Inspired by historic charcoal burner settlements, the huts sit along original woodland paths that connect to the West Island Way and other scenic routes. Each hut has a cosy interior with a wood-burning stove for warmth and cooking, along with firewood, kindling, a stove-top cafetière and cooking utensils. Guests sleep in a comfortable double bed, with two child-sized single beds available for families with young children. The huts are completely off-grid but include compost toilets, drinking water, basic washing-up facilities and quality fixtures.
