Duart Castle sits prominent and proud overlooking the Sound of Mull. The castle dates back to the 14th century and is the ancestral home to Clan Maclean. Duart is currently home to Sir Lachlan Maclean, 28th Chief of Clan Maclean. The Castle is steeped in history from the ancient keep to the banqueting hall and not forgetting the dungeon! On a clear day a visit to the battlements is a must, the view is quite spectacular.
