The Highland Titles Nature Reserve is owned by Highland Titles and literally thousands of Lairds and Ladies of Glencoe

Until 1983, Keil Hill formed a part of Keil Farm. Evidence of old field dykes demonstrates that the drier areas were cultivated until fairly recent times. In 1985, with the assistance of a Special Management Grant, considerable commercial planting took place, much of it with the inappropriate softwood species, Sitka and Larch. The low-density hardwood planting which was undertaken at the same time was largely unsuccessful. The Highland Titles Nature Reserve is a uniquely funded conservation project. We sell souvenir plots of Scottish land to people all over the world and use the profits to manage the land as a nature reserve. We have over 10.000 customers each year visiting the nature reserve to witness the progress made possible with their support. Highland Titles are restoring and repairing the area, and have constructed a network of paths, two lochans, and with native tree planting as we remove the non-native Sitka, and as a result, wildlife is responding by returning to the area. Red squirrels, red fox, red deer & roe deer, badgers, pine martens and even a wildcat are regularly caught on our SpyCameras, as you can see on our Facebook page.
