The July Johnstones & The Hellfire Club

“These guys must have been playing together for years!” That was the comment most widely heard when The July Johnstones played their second, yes, second gig, early in 2024 for a well known local charity in Argyll. The fact is, the band only came together late in 2023. That someone could make the above comment gives however some indication of the wealth of experience that is in the band. From the first rehearsal, all the players quickly gelled together into a hard rocking Americana / Country band with a strong focus on original songs, a toe-tapping groove and 4 part harmonies. This is a band whose core philosophy is memorable, original songs plus their own particular take on classic songs (including more than a few surprises) backed up by great musicianship.
