Situated in the pretty fishing village of Carradale, this spacious, detached house sleeping 8, is furnished to a high standard, offering superb accommodation throughout. It has been beautifully renovated and has lovely views across fields and golf course to Carradale Bay and Kilbrannan Sound. Bayview is a wonderful base from which to explore the unspoilt surroundings of Carradale, the Kintyre Peninsula and the nearby Islands of Arran, Gigha, Islay and Jura. The beautiful, rugged countryside and coastline can be explored using an abundance of varied walking and cycle paths. For sports enthusiasts, a challenging 9-hole golf course is just 150 yards from Bayview - or the world-renowned 18-hole Machrihanish Golf Course is just 40 minutes to the south. Sandy beaches are just a stone’s throw away at Port Righ, Torrisdale, Saddell Castle or at Carradale’s renowned mile of golden sand at the ‘big bay’. The nearby wildlife reserve is also worth a visit where birds, seals, otters and bottlenose dolphins can be spotted. Travelling South, when the tide is low, venture on foot over to Davaar Island from Campbeltown to view Archibald MacKinnon’s 1887 cave paintings or take a drive to the lighthouse at Southend, an area Sir Paul McCartney remembers in his song titled ‘The Mull of Kintyre’. Travelling north, Skipness Castle is well worth a visit and between late May and Late September, the Skipness Seafood Cabin is an absolute must!
